I used a washed out white plastic frosting container. I cut it so that there is only about 3” left at the bottom. I hole punched around the container. In this one, I used a heart hole punch. Sc into the holes around the container, slip st tog and ch 2. Work alternately 2dc and 1dc around the back loops of the sc foundation row, slip st tog and ch 2. The next 2 rows do the cross stitch crochet stitch in back loops only, slip st tog and ch 2. Next row, Dc every other stitch in back loops around, slip st tog and ch 3. Count the ch 3 as first dc, do 1 more dc and ch 2, then do 2 more dc in same hole. *Skip a st and do 2dc ch 2 2dc in next hole. Repeat from * around. Fasten off and weave in ends. Chain 2 long chains (I don’t remember how long I made it). Weave chains through dc row below edging. Add pompoms to ends. Add fun fur to front loops of foundation row by the plastic container. Fasten off and weave in ends. (You could add ribbon instead of chains).
