Plus-Size PJ Top and Panty Plus-Size PJ Top and Panty

These pictures are the original pictures from the first website I had.  Because I gave some items as gifts or no longer have some items or for other reasons are not able to redo the pictures with my new website’s name.  Please excuse these pictures and the wrong website name; thank you!

Materials Used 5 skeins Simply Soft (6oz skeins)
Hook Size  I
Measurements approx. 3x-4x PJ Top Measurements: 36" around the top (THIS STRETCHES), 24" length from top to bottom not including straps.

Panty Measurements: Triangle measures 12" up and down and 10 1/2" width.

Notes  

PJ Top Bust: H hook WORK IN BACK LOOPS ONLY

Row 1: Ch 32, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc across. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc across. Turn.

Row 3-80: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off leaving a tail to sew the two ends together.

Turn the bust section as like a tube top, now attach yarn to bottom with a sl st and ch 2.

PJ Skirt Bottom: H hook for first 3 rows. Then switch to I hook. You will be working in rounds.

Row 1: Hdc around the bottom. Sl st tog.

Row 2: Ch 3, *dc in the next 2 sts. 2 dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.

Row 3: Ch 3, dc in same st. *Skip 1 st, 2dc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.

Row 4: Use a "I" hook now.  Sl st to middle of the first 2 dcs from the previous row, do 2 dc in that hole. Now, *skip to next 2 dc group from previous row, do 2dc in that st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.

Row 5-28: Repeat Row 4. Do not fasten off.  Go to edging next.

Edging of skirt: Row 29: Ch 3, skip 1 st, dc in next 2 sts. *Skip 2sts, dc in next 6 sts, ch 2. Repeat from * around.  End with ch 2, sl st into the 1st ch 3.

Row 30: Ch 3, skip 1 st, 3dc, ch2, 3dc into ch 2 sp from previous row. *Ch 1. 3dc, ch2, 3dc in next ch 2 space. Ch 1. Repeat from * around.

Row 31: Ch 3, skip 1 st, 3dc, ch4, 3dc into ch 2 sp from previous row. *Ch 1. 3dc, ch4, 3dc in next ch 2 space. Ch 1. Repeat from * around.

Row 32: Repeat Row 31.

Row 33: Ch 1, sc in each st. In ch 4 sp from Previous Row, do 5 sc around the st not into.  Repeat this around.  Fasten off and weave in ends.

PJ Top Strap: I hook (Make 2)

Row 1: Ch 7, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc across. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc across. Turn.

Row 3-35: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off, but leave a tail to sew straps on.

Sew straps onto PJ Top. The straps maybe tight at first, but they allow for stretching which occurs over time.

Panty (Make 2) I hook:

Ch 4, sl st tog to form a ring.

Row 1: Ch 3, 3dc in ring, ch 3, 3dc in ring, ch 3 and 3dc in ring and ch 3. Sl st tog to the top of first ch3. (3 groups of 3dc)

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, (2dc, ch3, 2dc in next ch 3 sp, dc in next 3dc) twice, 2 dc, ch 3, 2dc in next ch 3 sp, sl st tog to beg ch3.

Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next 4dc, (2dc, ch3, 2dc in next ch 3 sp, dc in next 5dc) twice, 2 dc, ch 3, 2dc in next ch 3 sp, sl st tog to beg ch3.

Row 4: Ch 3, dc in next 6dc, (2dc, ch3, 2dc in next ch 3 sp, dc in next 7dc) twice, 2 dc, ch 3, 2dc in next ch 3 sp, sl st tog to beg ch3.

Row 5-9: Repeat Row 4 having 2 more dc between ch 3 spaces each row.  Continue in same pattern.  Fasten off and weave in ends.

Crotch area:

At bottom of 1 triangle, attach yarn with sl st. Ch 17, dc in 4th ch from the hook and dc across. Sl st to the original sl st joining.  Fasten off and weave in ends.  Then with needle and yarn, sew the other end to the bottom of the other triangle.

Straps (Make 4):

Attach to top corner of triangle, ch 50, sl st in 2nd ch and continue sl st back down to original sl st. Fasten off and weave in ends. Do this for all 4 corners of panty triangle.

Flower: I used my Flower pattern from the Flowers Index. Then sewed it on to the panty.
