These pictures are the original pictures from the first website I had. Because I gave some items as gifts or no longer have some items or for other reasons are not able to redo the pictures with my new website’s name. Please excuse these pictures and the wrong website name; thank you!
Materials Used | Red Heart yarn called Gemstone 15 ozs |
Hook Size | K |
Measurements | Sizing: This ended up being a just little big around for me. I’m a 42D, 3x/4x. I’m also 5’4” and this came to 1” below my knees. |
Notes | After wearing this, I would change the neck strap. It stretches out. I would either put a hidden button, so that the neck is adjustable or shorten it to allow for stretch. |
Bodice part (make 2 triangles)
Note: you are working vertically...not around.
Ch 5, sl st tog to make a ring.
Row 1: Ch 3, do 3dc in ring, ch 2, 4dc in ring, ch 3 and turn.
Row 2: In between the 1st and 2nd dc of Row 1, do 4dc and ch 1. In the ch 2 space from Row 1, do 3dc, ch 2, 3 dc (corner), ch 1, do 4dc in between the 3rd and 4th dc of Row 1, ch 3 and turn.
Row 3: In between the 1st and 2nd dc of previous row, do 4dc and ch 1. 3dc in the ch 1 space, 3 dc, ch 2, 3dc (corner) ch 1, 3dc in the ch 1 space, do 4dc in between the 3rd and 4th dc of the previous row, ch 3 and turn.
Row 4-9: Repeat Row 3. The only difference is that you will be doing 3dc in every ch 1 space from the previous row, so as you add to the triangle you will increase this every row.
At row 9, finish off.
Sew the triangles together. I overlapped a 3 dc section and made a small triangle. I sewed this togther.
Neckband strap
Ch 60, sc in the 2nd chain from the hook. Sc across, ch 1, turn. Row 2: Sc across, ch 1, turn. Row 3: Repeat Row 2. Leave a tail to sew strap onto each point of triangle.
Under Bodice Band
Ch 124. Row 1: Hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook, hdc across. Ch 2 and turn. Row 2: Hdc across. Sew ends together. Then make the seam to the back and sew the bodice triangles onto the band. (Center the triangles) Fasten off and weave in ends.
Skirt
Start at the back of the band. Make sure you have the shells facing the right way. Row 1: Ch 4, 2tr, ch3, 3tr all in the same stitch. *Skip 4 sts, in the 5th st, 3tr, ch3, 3tr in that stitch. Repeat from * around the band. Sl st to the top of the beg ch 4 (do not turn, you will be working in rounds now). Row 2: sl st 2 stitches, ch 4, 2 tr, ch3, 3 tr in the chain 3 space from the previous row. *Go to next chain 3 space and 3tr, ch3, 3tr in that space. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog. Row 3 – 17: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off at the end of Row 17.
