Round 1: blue: Ch 11, hdc in 3rd ch from hook, 2hdc in same st, hdc in next 7 sts, 6 hdc in last st turn and work down other side 7 hdc, 3hdc in last st. 

Round 2: blue: Ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in each st around, sl st tog.

Round 3: blue: Repeat Round 2.

Round 4: blue: Repeat Round 2.

Round 5: blue: Repeat Round 2.

Round 6: yellow: Repeat Round 2.

Round 7: yellow: Repeat Round 2.

Round 8: yellow: Repeat Round 2.

Round 9: yellow: Repeat Round 2.

Round 10: black: Repeat Round 2.

Round 11: yellow: Repeat Round 2.

Round 12: yellow: Repeat Round 2.

Round 13: yellow: edging: I use reverse single crochet also known as the crab st to edge. You can use just single crochet if you wanted to. Finish off and weave in ends.

Eye:

Round 1: with white: Ch 3, sl st tog. Ch 2, 11hdc, sl st tog.

Round 2: with gray: Ch 2, sc, *ch 1, sc, Rep from * around, sl st tog. Fasten off.

Sew on the button and then sew onto the main body by the black row like the picture.

With Black, back stitch and add a smile the way you want to. I added mine later as I forgot at first. The second picture reflects the smile.
