Cup a' Latte Towel Topper

 

Materials Used worsted weight  yarn
Hook Size  H
Measurements  8 3/4" including handle wide, 8" tall including hanger
Notes  

 

Make 2: (you work from bottom up)

Row 1: Ch 15, hdc in 3rd st from hk, hdc across, ch 2 turn.

Row 2: 2 hdc in first st, hdc across, end with 2hdc last st, ch 2 turn.

Rows 3-6: Rep Row 2.

Row 7: Hdc in each st across.

Row 8-10: Rep Row 7, last row ch 1 turn.

Row 11: Sc in each st across, fasten off.

When you have 2 cups made, sew up sides, but attach handle before finishing right side.  Handle: on right side looking at the cup, attach yarn to Row 6, ch 12, then attach to top, turn down the handle and ch 1 st st in each st down the handle and fasten off and weave in ends.

Cut towel in half and stick up the bottom of cup, with yarn sew across the top of the towel. 

Hanger: In the center of the back cup, attach yarn and 4sc, ch 1 turn.  Repeat for 20 rows. On last row, sc, ch3, sc, sc across to make the buttonhole.  Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sew the button onto the towel topper cup.
