These pictures are the original pictures from the first website I had. Because I gave some items as gifts or no longer have some items or for other reasons are not able to redo the pictures with my new website’s name. Please excuse these pictures and the wrong website name; thank you!
Materials Used |
I used 2 1/2 skeins of Donegal (50 grams) acrylic-wool blend yarn. It's thin like sport weight. |
Hook Size | G |
Measurements | my daughter is a size 4. I make all of her clothes slightly bigger to get more use out of them. There's plenty of room to adjust the waist for a 6x. You make the waist elastic as big as you need. Just make more rounds at the bottom to make the skirt bigger. |
Notes |
Ch 90, sl st tog to make a circle. Be careful not to twist chain.
Round 1: Ch 2, hdc in the same st, then hdc in back loops only all the way around. Sl st tog. (When you sl st, skip the ch 2 and sl st into the first hdc. This pulls the yarn tog to not have a hole when you sl st.)
Round 2-7: Ch 2, hdc in the same st, in both loops, hdc around, sl st tog. (When you sl st, skip the ch 2 and sl st into the first hdc. This pulls the yarn tog to not have a hole when you sl st.)
Round 8: Ch 2, hdc in same st. *Hdc in next 3 sts, then 2 hdc in next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog. (When you sl st, skip the ch 2 and sl st into the first hdc. This pulls the yarn tog to not have a hole when you sl st.)
Round 9-10: Repeat Round 2.
Round 11: Ch 2, hdc in same st. *Hdc in the next 5 sts, then 2 hdc in the next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog. (When you sl st, skip the ch 2 and sl st into the first hdc. This pulls the yarn tog to not have a hole when you sl st.)
Round 12-16: Repeat Round 2.
Round 17: Ch 3, dc in the same st. *Dc in the next 10 sts, then 2 dc in the next st. Repeat from * around. Sl st tog. (When you sl st, skip the ch 3 and sl st into the first dc. This pulls the yarn tog to not have a hole when you sl st.)
Round 18-19: Ch 3, dc in the same st, in both loops, dc around, sl st tog. (When you sl st, skip the ch 3 and sl st into the first dc. This pulls the yarn tog to not have a hole when you sl st.)
Round 20: Ch 3, *skip 1 st, 3 dc in next st. Repeat from * around. End with 2 dc in with ch 3. Sl st tog at the top ch 3. (3dc group)
Round 21: Sl st over to middle dc form 3dc group of Round 20, ch 4, dc in same sp. *Dc in middle dc of next 3dc group from Round 20, ch 1, dc in same st. (V-st around) Repeat from * around. Sl st tog.
Round 22: Repeat Round 20.
Round 23: Repeat Round 21.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
I use elastic on all my daughter’s clothes. So I take the ¼ inch elastic, measure it to my daughter and cut. Then I sew the one end into a circle. Then I sc the elastic to the first row of the skirt. Fasten off and weave in ends.
