Red Hot Plus-Size Bra and Panty Set
J hook
1 skein plus a little bit off a 2nd skein Simply Soft (Autumn Red is the color I used) (6 oz skeins)
Size: approx. 3x-4x
Bra Cup Measurements: 8 1/2" up and down, 11" width of the cup, bra strap underneath 35" long (THIS STRETCHES).
The bra strap is designed to stretch so it gives support. You can use snaps, buttons, or eyes and hooks on the strap to hook it together. I haven't gotten mine sewed on yet.
Panty Measurements: 12" up and down and 14 1/2" wide. Crotch rectangle approx. 7" long and 2" wide
Gauge: 6 dc = 2 inches
Bra Cup (Make 2)
Row 1: Ch 4, sl st tog to form a ring. Ch 3, dc 3 times, ch 2, dc 4 times all in the ring. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in the dc from the previous row to the ch 2 space, 3dc, ch2, 3dc in the ch 2 sp (corner made) then dc in the dc from the previous row to the end. Turn.
Row 3-9: Repeat Round 2. Fasten off and weave in ends.
(You are making a triangle and the corner increases each row.)
Neck Straps
Attach yarn to upper point of the bra cup with a sl st, ch 65, hdc in 3rd ch from the hook. Hdc back down the ch to the point of the bra cup. Sl st into the point and fasten off and weave in ends. Repeat to other point of other bra cup.
Now after adding neck straps, go back and add edging to bra cups. Attach yarn with sl st to one of the bottom corners, ch 2, *skip 2 sts, 5dc in next st, skip 2 sts, sc in next st. Repeat from * around bra cup. Do this for both bra cups.
Underneath Bra Strap Around
Row 1: Ch 10, hdc in 3rd ch from hook Back Loops Only, hdc across. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc across. Turn.
Row 3- 69: Repeat Row 2. Fasten off and weave in ends.
This stretches on purpose. Sew bra cups to the underneath bra strap. Add snaps or hooks and eyes or buttons to fasten together.
Panty (Make 2)
Row 1: Ch 4, sl st tog to form a ring. Ch 3, dc 3 times, ch 2, dc 4 times all in the ring. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in the dc from the previous row to the ch 2 space, 3dc, ch2, 3dc in the ch 2 sp (corner made) then dc in the dc from the previous row to the end. Turn.
Row 3-12: Repeat Round 2. Fasten off and weave in ends.

After the triangles made, attach yarn to corner of triangle with a sl st and ch 1. *Skip 2 sts, 5dc in next st. Skip 2 sts, sc in next st. Repeat from * around. Do the same to the other triangle.
Side Strap
Attach yarn to upper corner of triangle with a sl st, ch 50. Sl st back down the chain to the corner. Fasten off and weave in ends. Repeat this to all four corners like the picture shows. These are the side chains.
Crotch
Row 1: Ch 24, hdc in 3rd ch from the hook, hdc across. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc across. Turn.
Row 3-5: Ch 2, hdc across. Turn. Fasten off and leave approx. a 9" tail to use to sew the end to the panty.
Sew to the panty triangles.
