Canning Jar Covers

These covers are fast and easy and so cute. They do fit snuggly. I usually decorate the jar also. I glue ribbon roses to the center and I thread ribbon around the neck of the jar through the hdc stitches. You can vary things by crocheting in back loops only or front loops only or both loops like I did. Use your imagination. You can do these in Christmas colors to give away your homemade goodies or put bubble bath and different items in the canning jars.
Wide mouth pattern
Ch 4, slip st tog to make a ring. 12 dc in the ring, slip st into top of 1st st.
Ch 2, dc in same stitch, then 2dc in each stitch around. Slip st tog and ch 2.
*Dc in next st, 2dc in next st and repeat from * around. Slip st tog and ch 2.
Dc in each stitch around, slip st tog and ch 2. Dc in each stitch around, slip
st tog and ch 2. *Skip next st and hdc in next st. Repeat from * around. Slip st
tog. Ch 4 in each st around to make a ruffle.
Regular mouth pattern
Ch 4, slip st tog to make a ring. 12 dc in the ring, slip st into top of 1st st.
Ch 2, dc in same stitch, then 2dc in each stitch around. Slip st tog and ch 2.
