This is an old shower curtain from a thrift store and a polar fleece piece. I folded up the edges of the shower curtain and sewed with a decorative stitch. This keeps a sand barrier. 

The picture here shows what the bottom looks like. This was a lot of fun and I can't wait to make a couple more of these for my family members.
