SC edging:

Row 1: Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and sc across. (5sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc across. (make sure you have 5sts)

Row 3-38: Repeat row 2. Do not fasten off...

Round 1: Turn and ch 3, dc in same st.  Evenly work 2 dc across... (19- 2dc groups)

Round 2: Sl st to center of 2 dc group, ch 3, dc in same spot, *skip over to next 2 dc group, 2dc.  Repeat from * around, sl st to first ch 3.

Rounds 3- 18: Repeat Round 2. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Make another sc edging (ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hk, sc across. (38rows of 5sts in each row) and then sew it in place..make sure you gather slightly to get it to fit as it will be smaller than the muffler tube.
