Materials used	I used 2 colors of Lionbrand Microspun yarn.  It's very soft and stretchy.  I used a skein of each but I had leftover yarn.
Hook	H hook for 2-3 years old I hook for 4 and up

Round 1: Black (rounds 1-8): Attach yarn to hairband with a sl st, sc around the hairband 23 times, sl st tog.

Round 2: BLO: Ch 2, hdc in same st as the ch 2, 2 hdc in next st.  2 hdc in each st.  2 hdc in each st around.  Sl st tog into the 1st hdc not the ch 2.

Round 3: Both Loops from now on: Ch 2, hdc in same st as the ch 2, *hdc in the net 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st.  Repeat from * around.  Sl st tog into the 1st hdc not the ch 2.

Round 4: Ch 2, hdc in same st as the ch 2, *hdc in the next 3sts, 2 hdc in next st.  Repeat from * around.  Sl st tog into the 1st hdc not the ch 2.

Round 5: Ch 2, hdc in same st as the ch 2, hdc in each st around.  Sl st tog into the 1st hdc not the ch 2.

Round 6-8: Repeat Round 5.

Round 9: Pink: Ch 3, dc in next 4sts, *fptr into Round 7 in next 3sts, dc in the next 5 sts. Repeat from * around.  Sl st tog to the ch 3.

Rounds 10-11: Black: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Sl st tog to the ch 3.

Round 12: Pink: Ch 3, dc in next 4sts, *fptr into Round 10 in the next 3 sts, dc in the next 5sts.  Repeat from * around.  Sl st tog to the ch 3.  Make sure the fptr match up and there are 5 dc in between.

Rounds 13-14: Black: Repeat Round 10.

Round 15: Pink: Ch 3, dc in next 4sts, *fptr into Round 13 in the next 3 sts, dc in the next 5sts.  Repeat from * around.  Sl st tog to the ch 3.  Make sure the fptr match up and there are 5 dc in between.

Rounds 16-17: Black: Repeat Round 10.

Round 18: Pink: Ch 1, sc in each st around.  Sl st tog to ch 1.

Round 19: Pink: Repeat Round 18

Round 20: Pink: *Ch 3, skip 1st, sc in next st.  Repeat from * around.  Sl st tog to the ch 3.

Round 21: Black: *Ch 3, sc in skipped sc from Round 20, then skip sc from Round 20 and repeat from * around.  Sl st tog to the ch 3.  This round weaves in and out of the Round 20 edging.  Fasten off and weave in ends.

I took pink and went back up to the Round 2 where I did back loops only.  In the front loops, I attached yarn with a sl st and ch 10, sc in next hole.  Repeat this all the way around.  Fasten off and weave in ends.
